About Us

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Route 39 was created from a simple belief: fitness should feel empowering, inclusive, and rooted in community. We’re not here to chase perfection — we’re here to help people feel strong, confident, and supported at every stage of their journey. Our space is designed to bring people together, build resilience, and celebrate progress in all its forms. Whether you’re stepping into a gym for the first time or pushing toward new personal goals, Route 39 is a place where you’re welcomed, encouraged, and challenged to grow.

Behind Route 39 are two owners who live and breathe this mission. With lifelong backgrounds in sport, movement, and youth development, we combine physical training with a deep understanding of mindset, motivation, and real‑life strength. We’re here to help adults and youth discover what they’re capable of — not just in the gym, but in their everyday lives.

Our Story

Route 39 was built from a shared passion for movement, community, and creating a space where every person feels like they belong. We believe fitness isn’t about perfection — it’s about showing up, feeling strong in your own body, and growing alongside people who cheer for you. Our goal is to offer a welcoming environment where adults and youth can train, connect, and push toward their personal best. This is more than a gym. It’s a community built on encouragement, resilience, and real‑life strength.

Sanjeen Keough

Fitness has been part of Sanjeen's life since she was 15 years old. From high school wrestling to soccer and softball, and from 5Ks and 10Ks to the huge milestone of completing a half marathon, movement has always grounded her. Sanjeen loves pushing people to discover what they’re capable of — not by chasing a competition‑ready body, but by building confidence, strength, and a sense of pride in what their body can do.

Sanjeen's background in early childhood education, addictions, and mental health shapes the way she coaches. Sanjeen understand how mindset, environment, and support systems influence success, especially for women who are learning to prioritize themselves. Sanjeen may not look like a fitness model, but she feels healthy, strong, and empowered — and that’s exactly what she want for every woman who walks through our doors.

Jeff Keough

Jeff has been in the gym since his teenage years and has always lived an active lifestyle. With a background in basketball, hockey, and baseball — plus several years of coaching minor hockey — he brings a deep understanding of athletic development to Route 39. He loves helping athletes unlock their full potential, whether they’re just starting out or striving to level up.

What sets Jeff apart is his training in child development and mental health. He blends physical training with mindset coaching, helping youth and adults build confidence, resilience, and a positive relationship with movement. His approach is supportive, motivating, and rooted in the belief that everyone can grow stronger — physically and mentally — with the right guidance.
